Abstract

Antimicrobial resistance has significant concern to public health. Controlling of antimicrobial resistance requires accurate and timely detection of drug resistance, followed by appropriate antimicrobial treatment and management. This article reviews various AST techniques, their benefits and drawbacks for better utilization in microbiological laboratories.
