Abstract |
This paper proposes a framework using IoT that detects vehicle accidents and identification of traffic congestion and connect this information to respective control authorities through other vehicles and base stations on real time basis. Various parameters of vehicle such as tracking of live location of the vehicle within the coverage area and measuring the distance between the vehicles can be monitored by the system. Vibration sensors and ultrasonic sensors are used to design a prototype and algorithms illustrate the concept. Network connectivity and data transmission is through integrated GSM and GPS within the system which is used to obtain the location coordinates of the accident zone and the notification about the accident is sent to the registered mobile number and immediate help is obtained at the exact location. If two vehicles are in the vicinity of each other, immediately a notification that is an alert message is sent through the BLYNK app. |
