Abstract |
Nowadays air transports have been increasing rapidly. As a result, the emission of toxic gases from the aircraft engines is also increasing very rapidly which affect the atmosphere. Governments of various countries are producing stringent rules regarding the emission of toxic gases such as NOX and carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Nitrous oxides were formed as as secondary products of complete combustion. Carbon monoxide is formed as a result of incomplete combustion. The production of these toxic gases depends on various parameters in which adiabatic flame temperature plays a major role. The adiabatic flame temperature of combustion in aircraft engines depends on various parameters which includes height above the sea level, pressure ratio, inlet or initial temperature which also depends on on the pressure ratio and also on the equivalence ratio. Here the effects of these parameters on the adiabatic flame temperature of n-dodecane are analyzed and compared with the experimental results. |
