Security in Embedded Systems with Differential Dimensional View

The primary goals of this paper are to investigate the protection of embedded systems at completely different levels of abstraction and to propose a new procedure to assess and improve the protection of embedded systems during numerous product life cycle phases. To realize these goals, this paper introduces new classification of embedded systems attacks using a novel multi-dimensional illustration, explores the attainable threats to embedded systems, and proposes a new procedure to evaluate and improve the protection of embedded systems during numerous product development phases.
